The unbelievable Machine Company added a second 1Gbit/s port and has now a total of 2Gbit/s Peering capacity at BCIX.
http.net ( AS12574 ) will upgrade bandwidth at BCIX from 100MBit/s to 1GBit/s. The new port will be installed at BCIX location I/P/B/ (L105).

Packet Clearing House (PCH) wird in Kürze country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) Server am BCIX in Betrieb nehmen. Der neue Nameserver wird direkt am Berliner Internetknotenpunkt BCIX angeschlossen, über den die Internet Provider ihre Daten austauschen. Das bedeutet für Internetnutzer aus der Bundeshauptstadt und Umgebung, deren Provider über BCIX angebunden sind, schnellere Antwortzeiten bei der Auflösung der Internetadressen mit den folgenden, von PCH gehosteten Domains:
Die Anbindung an das Wissenschaftsnetz X-WiN des DFN (AS680) wird im Mai 2009 von derzeit 1GBit/s auf 10GBit/s erhöht. Der neue Anschluss erfolgt am BCIX Standort I/P/B/ (L105).
Das Wissenschaftsnetz X-WiN ist die technische Plattform des Deutschen Forschungsnetzes. Über das X-WiN sind Hochschulen, Forschungseinrichtungen und forschungsnahe Unternehmen in Deutschland untereinander, mit den Wissenschaftsnetzen in Europa und auf anderen Kontinenten verbunden. Darüber hinaus verfügt das X-WiN über leistungsstarke Austauschpunkte mit dem allgemeinen Internet. Mit Anschlusskapazitäten bis zu 10 Gigabit/s und einem Terabit-Kernnetz, das sich zwischen ca. 60 Kernnetz-Standorten aufspannt, zählt das X-WiN zu den leistungsfähigsten Kommunikationsnetzen weltweit.
