In order to meet the rapidly growing bandwidth requirements of its regional and international partners in data traffic, the BCIX infrastructure has been upgraded with 400 Gbit / s switches in recent months. The BCIX (Berlin Commercial Internet Exchange) uses the broadband connections in the regionally operated Internet backbone, which is currently operated in ten developed data centers with over 4 terabits of active peering bandwidth and peak transfers of over 700GBit / s. The Berlin-based Internet exchange operator BCIX is now offering its customers 400 Gigabit Ethernet ports for peering. With the upgrade to 400G by systems from the manufacturer Arista, the further increasing requirements will also be met in the future. The BCIX is thus expanding its modern and scalable infrastructure in the region and is able to satisfy the requirements for fast-growing, high-quality bandwidths from large customers. The flexible and scalable platform enables the important Internet node to handle the increased amounts of data.
